Problems at Work

Employment Law

Employment laws exist to protect the interests of both employers and employees. With the volume of legislation increasing this is one of the fastest growing areas of law covering dismissals, discrimination, diversity at work and family friendly policies.

Experts in Employment law

If you have a problem with your employer we can help you structure your approach to it, and prepare the ‘paper trail’ for you which will be essential to a satisfactory outcome for you. If you have been dismissed we can give you practical focused advice about likely outcomes, costs and tactics.

We know the perspective of employers and have much experience in Employment Tribunals and can guide you as to prospects of success. We have great experience in negotiation to maximise the chances of a certain and acceptable outcome.

  • Our contentious work includes:
  • Tribunal representation
  • Dismissals and disciplinary procedures
  • Severance Agreements (also known as Compromise Agreements) – both preparation and advice
  • Advice on enforcing restrictive covenants and protecting confidential information
  • All types of discrimination: age, race, sex, disability, religious and sexual orientation
  • Redundancies: procedure, consultation and redundancy payments
  • Breach of contract / constructive dismissal claims
  • Deductions from wages
  • Equal pay questionnaires and claims
