PAUL HOUSEGO - SENIOR PARTNER, HEAD OF EMPLOYMENT
Paul Housego
Paul graduated from the University of Cambridge before training at the future Clifford Chance. He subsequently moved into general practice in Devon. Paul now specialises in employment law, acting as the main employment adviser to several large plc clients as well as handling claimant work. He has been an Employment Judge since 1992.
Paul has been a Partner at Beers LLP since 1982 and Senior Partner for the last five years. In addition, he sits on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, having a keen interest in professional matters, and is a mediator. Paul heads up the Employment team.
Outside the office, Paul much enjoys the company of his wonderful wife and his children as well as outdoor activities such as mountaineering and classic cars.

MICHAEL HASLER- PARTNER, HEAD OF PRIVATE CLIENT
Michael Hasler
A law graduate of Bristol University, Michael trained and worked in central London before joining Beers (on a temporary contract!) in 1991. He practises in all aspects of Private Client work, with particular emphasis on older client matters, tax planning, will, trusts and estates, and also has wide experience of property matters including agricultural land and pension fund purchases. Michael is the Head of the Private Client department.
Michael is a member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and a trustee of both local and national charities. He served as President of Plymouth Law Society in 2007/8
JAVID ASHARAF - PARTNER, HEAD OF LITIGATION
Javid Asharaf
After studying law at the University of Hull and then completing his post-graduate training, Javid qualified as a solicitor in 1994. He started his legal career in the Midlands before moving south to Devon. He joined Beers LLP in 1997 and was made a Partner in 2000.
Javid heads up the Litigation team and specialises in personal injury, advising on all types of personal injury claims, most of which are pursued on a "no win, no fee" basis.
Out of the office, Javid enjoys spending time with his family of four daughters.
Javid also speaks Punjabi, Urdu and English.
CAROLINE MITCHELL, PARTNER
Caroline Mitchell
Caroline qualified in 1996 following a career in Marine Science and joined Beers LLP in 2009. Previously the Managing Partner of Serpell Eaton Solicitors, Caroline was subsequently a partner at Foot Anstey following its merger with Serpell Eaton. Her years as a managing partner have given her extensive experience in the small business sector as an employer enabling her to give advice from a practical point of view. She then started her own business, specialising in advice, representation and training in employment law.
Caroline works closely with the Plymouth business community as a director of Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a member of the Plymouth Area Business Council.
Out of hours, Caroline plays an active part in her local church community and is particularly passionate about music and horses.

RICHARD JONES, PARTNER
Richard Jones
After studying law at the University of Liverpool and completing his post-graduate year at the College of Law Chester, Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1996. He joined Beers LLP in 2005 and became Head of Property in 2007.
Richard deals with a wide range of high-value residential and commercial transactions, including sales and purchases, the grant and surrender of leases, in particular in the agricultural area, grant of easements and complex development and leasehold enfranchisement matters.
Away from the office, Richard is a keen sailor and long distance runner.
Richard is a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association
