Leading South West law firm Beers LLP have expanded their reach in Plymouth by becoming the appointed legal services firm for the Plymouth Science Park.
The nationally recognised solicitors have taken a virtual tenancy allowing the firm to provide its comprehensive range of legal services at the Park.
To open their doors, Beers will run their first “law clinic” on Tuesday 30th May 2017 between 10am and midday at the Park (appointments required – please email email@example.com to reserve a place). The law clinic offers an initial free fifteen minutes of advice on any aspect of their legal needs – be that for their business or as an individual.
This development comes on the back of a busy period of expansion in Plymouth for the firm, which has offices on Sutton Harbour and in Kingsbridge. In Plymouth, over the last 12 months, Beers has recruited a whole troupe of new lawyers specialising in company, commercial, commercial property, conveyancing and private client services, allowing it to offer the full range of high quality legal services to individuals and SMEs across the city.
For business, Beers can help with business formations, company documents, shareholder and partnership agreements, terms and conditions of business, service and supply agreements, compliance issues, commercial property matters and all HR and employment issues, including contracts, policies and service agreements. The firm can also offer fixed fee advice helplines and HR and employment law training to business owners.
For the private individual, the firm can now also offer in Plymouth its extensive range of services including residential conveyancing; wills, powers of attorney, inheritance tax planning and the administration of estates; matrimonial and family law and dispute resolution including contractual disputes, property disputes, contentious probate, landlord and tenant and accident claims.
Head of Commercial and Employment Services in Plymouth, Julian Parry, said “Partnering with Plymouth Science Park is a great opportunity to offer many growing businesses and those working in them the legal advice and guidance they need to help deliver their business plans. We look forward to developing long-term relationships with the expanding range of exciting businesses on the Park.”
Newly recruited Senior Commercial Solicitor Jonathan Ward said “I am particularly excited to be working with the Plymouth Science Park and their stakeholders. I have a keen interest in emerging science, energy and technology businesses. These innovative businesses each present their own unique set of commercial needs and engaging with legal services at the earliest opportunity gives them a great launch pad. It is always rewarding to work with a business from grass-roots onwards; I find my clients’ enthusiasm for a new idea is infectious.”
